A mouse named Cumulina was the first animal cloned from adult cells. This was done in 1997 and a total of 10 clones were obtained as part of the experiment. Research on Cumulina turned out to be very important for science because it proved that animal clones can be completely healthy and have offspring. Cumulina peacefully lived to a mouse old age – she died in 2000, which equals 95 years of life!
