BLUE-SCALE CICHLID

This Costa Rican cichlid is distinguished by its subtle yet exceptionally elegant coloration. Its golden-brown body is delicately shimmering with blue scales, resembling iridescent particles in the light. The Bluescale Cichlid is more peaceful than many of its relatives, thriving in the company of other fish of a similar size and temperament. It forms pairs that share the care of the eggs and young, defending the nest with extraordinary care. Its harmonious colors and gentle nature make it an exceptionally gracious inhabitant of Central American aquariums.
SALVIN'S CICHLID
(Trichromis salvini)
This is one of the most colorful Central American cichlids. Its body blends vibrant yellows, reds, and blues, creating a veritable mosaic of tropical hues. Two black lines running along its sides highlight the contrasting coloration. The Salvini cichlid is found in moderate rivers in Mexico, Belize, and Guatemala. It is active, intelligent, and very protective of its offspring, although it can be territorial during the breeding season. Its beauty is matched by its character – a fish full of temperament and charm, a real eye-catcher in any aquarium.
